My name is George Orwell. However, it wasn't always that. George Orwell may be my name, but I was born Eric Arthur Blair. I came into this world on the 25th of June in a place called India. Many know me for the varies books I have written. Specifically Animal Farm and 1984. Few people know what my life was like before my success as an author.
Though, I was born in India I went to school in England. I went to Burma when I became of age and joined the Indian Imperial Police. In 1927 I grew bored of the police force and decided to pursue writing. In 1928 I moved to Paris. Due to lack of success with writing and I worked many dead end jobs. I wrote my first book, "Down and out in Paris", where I discussed my hardships. In 1933 I wrote my first novel titled "Burmese days" which was about my experiences in the police force. Between the 1930's I went many places to speak out against injustice in communist countries. Communist leaders didn't care for me, and in fear for my life I came back to England. From there I became an literary editor for the BBC tribune. It wasn't until 1945 when I wrote Animal Farm that I finally felt financially secure.

How Orwell Relates:
Ch.1 pg. 5- Teachers efficacy is define on this page. Its a teacher's belief that he or she can teach anyone student. In 1936 Orwell was commissioned to observe miners in poverty in northern england. He wrote "The Road to Wigan Pier" to reach everyone and teach them about the poverty in england.
